The Government Relations Committee (GRC) has become lean and mean with a primary focus of establishing relationships with legislators. The GRC is committed to building strong relationships with organizations and government officials to advocate for members’ issues and concerns. One of the GRC’s 2017 goals is to establish new relationships with legislators and organizations focused on government advocacy. We also hold monthly Government Relations Meet Ups with local officials and give members opportunities to meet and speak with them as well. Click here to learn more about meet ups.
Top Issues List: Annually the DRMA conducts a brief survey to better understand the “hot button” issues affecting members across the region. The GRC has developed a list of members’ top issues based on responses to the annual survey. Click here to view the current Top Issues List,.
Connect through the Government Relations go-to Group: We’re building a list of people for our Government Relations go-to group. This group is NOT a committee and WON’T meet on a regular basis. Rather, you’ll be contacted occasionally by the DRMA staff or the GRC to share information or to ask if you would respond to a particular need. Contact the DRMA office if you would like to engage in this way.
