Membership Programs & Services

The Dayton Region Manufacturers Association is the voice for the region’s manufacturing industry.  Since 1934, DRMA has served manufacturers throughout the Dayton Region and beyond as an active advocate, effectively advancing the interests of members and associated businesses.

Peer-to-Peer Networking
DRMA provides many ways for members to get connected and stay engaged with the thriving DRMA community in order to build a network of peers who face the same challenges, opportunities, and solutions and to foster a sense of mutual support among members.

Evening Member Events – These networking/dinner/speaker events take place 4 times a year and offer the opportunity to stay current on issues facing the industry and a ripe environment for peer-to-peer networking.

 

MFG Mixes – The Mix is a casual, 2-hour networking event held at member locations throughout the year. This is a great opportunity for DRMA members to share best practices, mingle, solve problems, and find new avenues for business growth.

 

Breakfasts with DRMA – Breakfast events are a great way to start the morning by diving deep into topics relevant to the industry. Lasting only 90 minutes, you can get to work at a reasonable time.


Meet Ups – Meet Ups are a round table format to help you build your peer network with members who are interested in the same topic area, so that you can learn from them and strengthen your business.  Meet Ups are designed to stimulate dialogue in a casual, comfortable atmosphere.  They are FREE and for members only.

 

DRMA Special Events –DRMA features several special events throughout the year, like the Golf Outing, workshops, and seminars.


Linked In Group – Ask and answer questions and start or join a conversation with other DRMA members, join our group and follow our company pages.

  

Committee InvolvementCommittees drive initiatives that strengthen the region’s manufacturing industry.  You’ll build business and personal relationships, and you’ll experience both personal and professional growth.

 

Growing the Workforce Pipeline
DRMA drives and supports numerous initiatives to increase the awareness of careers in manufacturing in order to attract more workers to the pipeline.

MFG Day – DRMA is the local organizer for Manufacturing Day, a nationwide event where students from area high schools tour manufacturing facilities teaching them about potential careers in the industry. The Dayton Region had one of the most successful MFG days in the nation in 2016.


Power Lunch - A tabletop exhibit that is shown at schools during their lunch hour, or during special events.  It’s designed to catch the attention of students so that DRMA volunteers can talk briefly to students about the potential for a career in manufacturing.

Manufacturing Fundamentals Training/MSSC - DRMA has teamed up with the Miami Valley Career Technology Center to offer a training program. It is a 4-week manufacturing fundamentals class for recently graduated high school students to earn their MSSC/CPT credentials.

Engage a School - This program matches our manufacturing members with a partner school where they work together on career days, job shadowing and internship opportunities for students.

Dream It. Do It. - DRMA holds the Dayton Region license for Dream It. Do It., a national network of like-minded organizations focused on attracting talent to the manufacturing workforce.

Advocacy
DRMA advocates with public officials, legislators, educators, parents, the business community, the media, and many other regional stakeholders to advance the interests of our members and the industry.

Top Issues List – DRMA surveys its members and produces an annual list of their top issues and concerns which provides direction for programming and advocacy initiatives. Learn more by emailing Zannah

Community Relations – DRMA builds strong relations with other community organizations, the media and government officials at the local, state and national levels to advocate for members. DRMA drives to keep the manufacturing industry at the forefront of government policy and the focus of the public.

Speakers Bureau – The DRMA speakers bureau travels to different organizations to promote the value of the manufacturing industry in the region.

 

 

Business & Economic Development
DRMA provides programming, industry-pertinent information, and connections with organizations to help members strengthen their company.

Business Leads – DRMA connects members with email requests by companies looking for vendors/suppliers to do particular projects and jobs. These business leads are sent to members only bringing members prospective customers and business opportunities.
