Power Lunches
Share |

Through a collaborative effort with the Montgomery County ESC and FASTLANE, DRMA is taking our career message right into area middle and high schools! We set up a table-top exhibit during students' lunch time and other special events, and we talk one on one with students about the great careers our region's manufacturing industry offers.

In 2017, we did 17 of these events and talked to over 500 students! Our 2018 goal is to schedule one a week throughout the Dayton Region.

Need Volunteers

Manufacturers, you can help solve your future workforce shortage program by providing a volunteer to work these Power Lunches. It takes only a couple of hours and no public speaking is necessary. We do the scheduling, the set up, and all the logistics. All volunteers have to do is show up and engage students in conversations about why they like working in manufacturing and, specifically, why they like working for your company! Do you have a young person who might like to talk to students? We need volunteers from every area in the region?

Need Sponsors

In order to keep manufacturing in their minds, we give away a "trinket" to students with whom we interact. For high school students, it's a cell phone wallet. We need sponsors lined up for our next purchase. Your sponsorship of $400 will cover the cost of about 250 pieces on which your name will be imprinted.
