Understand how to effectively “mistake-proof” processes and operations to minimize and eliminate errors. Also known by the Japanese term Poka-Yoke, this session on error proofing is targeted to employees involved in direct production operations. Participants will learn:

How to identify processes where human error causes defects and mistakes

How to utilize design and engineering methods to eliminate the potential for errors to occur

How to implement methods to detect errors and minimize their effects when the complete elimination of errors is not possible

How to help operators avoid mistakes in processed that rely on worker’s attention, skill and experience
