About this workshop
Developed in partnership with the Workforce Division of Sinclair College, the Lean Series teaches participants how to implement Lean concepts and techniques to make systematic, lasting improvements within their operations. Learn how to foster an environment built on the idea that good is never good enough, an environment always focused on continuously improving in small steps every day.

At this session
Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) - participants will come away understanding how to effectively “mistake-proof” processes and operations to minimize and eliminate errors. Learn to identify processes where human error causes defects and mistakes and how to utilize design and engineering methods to eliminate the potential for errors to occur. They'll also understand the concepts of Total Preventive Maintenance and their application to operations and processes and how to implement within the organization.

Facilitator
Donna Hoying, a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Recently retired from GE Aviation, she held the position of Senior Lean Leader for the Vandalia plant. Prior to her employment at GE, she was the Lean Practice Leader for Sinclair’s Workforce Division. Her experience at both GE and Sinclair gives her a unique insight into successfully implementing Lean in operations typical of DRMA member companies.

New for 2024
Participating companies are encouraged to identify a real-world project that can be improved using the concepts covered in the classroom sessions; this will allow participants to gain hands-on experience with Lean. Donna will be available remotely after each session to support participants with their projects.

Workshops are exclusively for DRMA members. Participants can attend individual or multiple sessions.
