Committee Desciptions

Committees usually meet once a month in person or by conference call during breakfast or lunch times as to not interfere with working hours. Each committee is led by a chairperson and is assigned a Board member liaison.

 Member Services Committee

The Member Services Committee analyzes member needs and identifies benefits and service solutions; determines member meeting speakers and other programs to enhance members' business success; recruits and retains members; and identifies ways to increase member involvement. This committee is a good fit for those who sell to manufacturers.

 Government Relations Committee

The GRC is committed to building strong relationships with organizations and government officials to advocate for members’ issues and concerns. This committee is a good fit for those having a passion for affecting positive outcomes between industry and the government.

 Growing the Workforce Pipeline Committee

The GWP Committee works on initiatives to promote careers in manufacturing in order to expand the candidate pool; and works with regional training partners to ensure training programs meet the needs of manufacturers. This committee is a good fit for Manufacturer member representatives who can't find enough workers with the right skill set.

 MFG Day Committee

The MFG Day committee is responsible for recruiting prospective (new participants) companies to entice them to participate in MFG Day. MFG Day is nationwide event where students from area schools tour manufacturing facilities teaching them about potential careers in the industry. This committee is a good fit for those who sell to manufacturers.

 Sponsored Benefits Committee

The Sponsored Benefits Committee administers the DRMA Sponsored Benefits Program, identifies value-added member benefits, and selects vendors. This committee is a good fit for those who have a good feel for products and services needed by manufacturers.
