About this workshop
Developed in partnership with the Workforce Division of Sinclair College, the Lean Series teaches participants how to implement Lean concepts and techniques to make systematic, lasting improvements within their operations. Learn how to foster an environment built on the idea that good is never good enough, an environment always focused on continuously improving in small steps every day.

Session Topic - Set-Up Reduction
Participants will learn the fundamentals of SMED and rapid-changeover and how to successfully implement these techniques on the shop floor. They'll come away understanding the concept of internal vs. external changeover within an operation and how reducing non-value time positively impacts operations.

Facilitator
Donna Hoying, a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Recently retired from GE Aviation, she held the position of Senior Lean Leader for the Vandalia plant. Prior to her employment at GE, she was the Lean Practice Leader for Sinclair’s Workforce Division. Her experience at both GE and Sinclair gives her a unique insight into successfully implementing Lean in operations typical of DRMA member companies.

REGISTRATION & CANCELLATION POLICY
​Payment is due upon registration. Registration confirms the commitment to attend and reserves a spot in the class. Cancellations received at least 10 business days before the class are eligible for a refund. Cancellations received after that deadline, as well as no-shows, are non-refundable and remain subject to the full registration fee. Discounted rates are based on the original registration commitment. Changes that reduce the number of sessions or participants may result in the applicable standard registration rate.
