Government Relations Committee update

Submitted by April Vanover, FASTLANE and Government Relations Committee member

The GRC recently met with Mike King, Regional Representative for Senator Sherrod Brown, and State Representative Phil Plummer (District 40). We covered DRMA’s Top Issues List and both Mr. King and Representative Plummer were particularly interested in the industry’s continued shortage of a skilled workforce.

A Meet Up with State Representative Rodney Creech (District 43) is scheduled for July 23, 8-9 a.m., at Henny Penny in Eaton. This will be the committee’s first in-person meet up of the year! An optional tour of Henny Penny will be held after the meet up. Registration is free for DRMA members but is required in advance. Sign up here.

We continue to collaborate with OMA, ABC, DACC, and other organizations to represent manufacturers.

Save the date for our annual Meet & Greet with Congressman Warren Davidson! We are meeting with Warren on August 12, 4-6 p.m. at the Engineer’s Club in Dayton. Registration information will be available soon – keep an eye on the DRMA website for details.
