The Dayton Region Manufacturers Association is excited to welcome Amy Schrimpf as our new President. With deep roots in the Dayton region and a strong background in economic and workforce development, Amy brings a passion for manufacturing, community, and connection to her new role.
Supporting Dayton’s Manufacturers
Amy has long viewed DRMA as the go-to resource for manufacturers in the Dayton region, and she’s eager to build on that legacy:
“In my past roles, I always admired DRMA as the “go-to” resource for manufacturers in the region, and I hope to continue that record of excellence through our workforce partnerships. DRMA has so many amazing programs that introduce students to careers in manufacturing and help members upskill their current workforce,” Amy shared. “I hope to continue that record of excellence through our workforce partnerships and open doors to new opportunities for manufacturers across the region.”
Strengthening workforce pipelines and supporting member companies will remain a top priority during her presidency.
A Love for Dayton
Amy moved to the Dayton region right out of college to work at the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce and has been a fan of the community ever since. Especially the food scene!
When she’s not working, you’ll likely find her trying new local restaurants with her husband or visiting a few longtime favorites.
“I moved to the Dayton region right out of college to work for the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce and have always been impressed with Dayton’s restaurant scene. I like trying new places to eat with my husband, although we definitely have a couple of favorite places that we probably frequent too often. I’m a fan of the Bad Juan!”
Looking Ahead
What excites Amy most about her new role is the opportunity to build relationships.
“The Board told me they wanted someone to build new connections, and that’s exactly what I’m looking forward to,” she said. “I’ve been fortunate to work with organizations like the Chamber and the Dayton Development Coalition, which helped grow my network of people who truly care about Dayton. I’ve been overwhelmed by the support I’ve received so far and hope to bring new partnerships and relationships to DRMA.”
Fun Fact
Outside of work, Amy has a competitive streak. She grew up in Fort Loramie and played high school basketball in one of the most successful girls' basketball programs in the state, with 1,000 wins in Ohio!
And one more fun note: her sister, Molly, was recently elected municipal judge in Oakwood. Amy says, “If you find yourself in traffic court there, be sure to say hello!”
Please join us in welcoming Amy Schrimpf as she leads DRMA into its next chapter.
